In this episode:
Have you ever been completely floored by the depth of character a person possesses after meeting with them for only one time? I had this experience when interviewing Janine Kuestner. I met her at the Saline Celtic Festival this fall. I spotted her participating in the Highland Game competition (events that I did not know were open to women competitors) wearing a hot-pink t-shirt emblazed with Title IX on the front as she wielded some God-awful heavy load over a bar suspended overhead. I knew then that I had to get to get her on the podcast! While interviewing her, I discovered that she has been an athlete throughout her entire life with no intention to ever quit. All of this, and she is a Title IX activist. In short, Janine Kuestner is - truly - a girl with guts!

Sport has incredible power to influence our culture. It is possible to have greater equity through(out) sport. and, through sport, we can make the world more equitable. We could change the world for the better for all people if sport was equitable. Janine Kuestner, a former NCAA coach and athlete, created EquityThroughSport.com to bridge the gap between theory and practice, making gender equity in and through sports attainable.
